Making sweet memories with kids through process art.

We are a process-based, community oriented art studio offering art programming for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and beyond in Calgary, Alberta. Too often, art experiences for kids focus on what is going to be made (the product) rather than on the discoveries and explorations had along the way (the process). From parents, we have heard the frustration of a ‘paint by numbers’ approach to art enrichment, as well as the accompanying stress and pressure of feeling like your child should be able to complete an art project to particular specifications.

At Mousse Children’s Art Studio, we would like to offer you an alternative. We believe in art as play, and that art is play. If you are looking for arts programming that cultivates your child’s sense of self, inspires curiosity and motivates their exploration — welcome! We believe in the importance of building a strong foundation through rich art experiences and that every child should have the freedom and space to explore and discover themselves through the arts without the pressure of expectations as to what is created.
