COVID-19 Policies
We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of your children within our studio. We will endeavour to keep all of our students and parents informed of our actions and procedures around COVID-19 and will make our decisions in consultation with provincial and civic recommendations and guidelines in the face of the ever-evolving pandemic.
We will ensure stringent cleaning procedures of all surfaces and high-touch areas in between each play date and ensure hand sanitizer is available and used frequently before handling communal supplies. Our art play date model will keep the number of artists in the studio small, and will allow our families to choose who their children engage with, and even if their children will engage with others.
We will ask that you perform a health check for your child prior to coming to your playdate, ensuring that a temperature has been taken and that you and your child are both feeling well before coming to our studio. Please know that Mousse will be as flexible as possible in honouring missed play dates due to illness or suspected illness. If your child has been exposed to a positive case in a close contact situation, we ask that you reschedule your play date. If your child is showing any signs of illness, even mild, influenza-like symptoms please reach out to reschedule your play date. In addition, if your child will be overseas within 14 days of a play date, please do not sign up and wait until the next month’s offerings.
We will require that all adults wear masks for the length of the 30-minute play date. We are grateful for your understanding, and know that you can appreciate the uncertainty of providing programs to a vulnerable population of children who are not eligible for protection through vaccine. Your child is only required to wear a mask as they come up the stairwell and through the hallway to the studio. Once in the studio, masks will be optional for children. I would encourage that you get on the same page with the other parents who will be attending your play date cohort prior to your arrival in regards to masking of children.
Finally, and for the safety of your community, your instructor will be double-vaccinated, masked and feeling well for all art play dates.
